Product highlights

  • Effectively removes excess cement and mortar from various floor materials

Materials

  • For porcelain, glazed ceramic tiles, rustic tiles and baked clay bricks.

Use

  • Apply the product directly on to the stain of cement, mortar or glue.
  • Allow the product to work for around 10 minutes (If working directly on metal the application time should not exceed 5 minutes).
  • Rub vigorously with a brush or sponge.
  • Rinse with plenty of water whilst continuously scrubbing.
  • Dry with a cotton cloth. Repeat the application if necessary but again do not exceed the application time of 10 minutes (5 minutes if you are working directly on metal).

Features

  • Product for spot cleaning cement, mortar and any kind of chalky substance based on those materials having metallic elements incorporated. For cleaning areas which have metallic elements in the vicinity (shower screens, taps, etc.) It's special formulation is designed to minimise the risk of damage to metals and prevent the formation of corrosive vapours.

Technical Specifications

  • Acid descaler

Density

  • 1,066 Kg/L

Ingredients

  • Aqua, Lactic acid, Sodium C14-17 sec alkyl sulfonate.

PH

  • 1

Precautions

  • Do not apply to acid-sensitive surfaces (marble, terrazzo, hydraulic tile, and generally any type of natural stone polished).
  • Although the product can be used without problems in stoneware and tiles, there are some old ceramics that present a deficient vitrification. The use of the product on these ceramics can damage the enamel, so it is recommended to do a small test to evaluate results.
  • Although the product has been formulated to minimize risks when working on metals, it is recommended to respect the exposed application times. On some occasions (for example in the case of aluminum), the alkalinity of the mortar itself may have damaged the metals prior to cleaning. A lot of caution in the case of surface finishes (chrome, zinc, phosphate, etc.), as they could be affected.
  • ALWAYS CARRY OUT A TEST ON A SMALL HIDDEN AREA BEFORE FULL APPLICATION!

Performance

  • Note: the yield values are purely guideline values
  • About 2 m2/ L neat, if applying neat or 12-40 m2 when applied diluted (dilutions between 1:1 and 1:5)

Advantage

  • No damage to metallic finishes.
  • Great descaling power.
  • With organic base

Description

The RC-11 Cement Remover (Metal Safe) effectively removes residual cement and mortar adhered to the surface of flooring tiles.

The main advantages of the RC-11 Cement Remover (Metal Safe) are: Its great descaling power and its guarantee not to damage metal finishes, owing to its organic-based formula.

RC-11 Cement Remover (Metal Safe) is a product for cleaning cement, mortar, cement adhesive, and any lime-based substance stains on materials that have built-in metal elements, or cleaning jobs where there are metallic items nearby (shower screens, taps, etc.).

Its special formulation is designed to minimize the risk of damage to metals and prevent the formation of corrosive vapours.

For the correct application of RC-11 Cement Remover (Metal Safe), RUBI recommends the following steps:

1. Apply the product directly on to the mortar or adhesive stain.

2. Leave to work for around 10 minutes (If working directly on metal, the application time should not exceed 5 minutes).

3. Scrub vigorously with a brush or scouring pad.

4. Rinse with plenty of water whilst continuing to scrub.

5. Dry with a cotton cloth. If there is still residue to be cleaned, repeat the whole process in the same way, making sure not to exceed the application time of 5 minutes if working directly on metal.

RC-11 Cement Remover (Metal Safe) is an acid-based descaling cleaner with a pH of 1 and a density of 1.066 Kg/l.

The performance of the RC-11 Cement Remover (Metal Safe) is approximately 2 m²/l if applied neat, or 12 to 40 m²/l if applied diluted with water in ratios between 1:1 and 1:5. Note: Performances are indicative.

To apply RC-11 Cement Remover (Metal Safe) correctly and safely, RUBI recommends taking into account the following precautions:

- Do not apply to acid sensitive surfaces (marble, terrazzo, hydraulic mosaic and generally any kind of polished natural stone).

- Although this product can be used without problems on most stoneware and tiles, there are some old ceramics that are poorly vitrified. Using the product on these ceramics may damage the glaze, and we therefore recommend that you carry out a small test to assess the results first.

- Although the product has been formulated to minimize risks when working on metals, it is recommended not to exceed the application times stated. Sometimes (for example in the case of aluminium), the alkalinity of the mortar itself may have already damaged the metal prior to cleaning. Therefore, caution should be taken in the case of surface finishes (chrome, galvanized, phosphate, etc.) as they could be affected.

ALWAYS CARRY OUT A TEST ON A SMALL HIDDEN AREA TO ASSESS THE RESULTS.
