Celebrating International Women's Day: Breaking barriers in construction

At RUBI Group, we understand that achieving gender equality isn't just about acknowledging the issue; it's about taking tangible steps to address it.

At RUBI Group, we understand that achieving gender equality isn't just about acknowledging the issue, it's about taking tangible steps to address it. In traditionally male-dominated sectors like construction, the path to parity has been challenging but not insurmountable. That's why, from within our organization, we've been actively working towards a more inclusive future, both internally and externally.

Over the past years, our teams worldwide have seen significant growth, with increasing representation of women in various roles. This commitment to diversity is reflected in the numbers, as we strive to bridge the gender gap in the construction industry.

But our efforts don't stop there. We are dedicated to amplifying the voices and contributions of women in tiling professions and beyond. As the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goal number 5 emphasizes, achieving gender equality is not just a goal—it's a necessity for a sustainable future.

Through our Internal Equality Committee, RUBI Group continues to champion equal opportunities daily, and today, on March 8th, as the world celebrates International Women's Day, we proudly join in the chorus of voices advocating for gender equality.

Women breaking barriers in construction

To mark this occasion, some of our female colleagues in the #RUBITeam have shared a light-hearted video, playfully portraying themselves as tile installers, and many women from the “Women tilers in construction” training course are showcased as a reminder that women's presence in the construction sector is not only growing but thriving.

We believe in the power of representation and are committed to fostering an environment where everyone, regardless of gender, can excel. By promoting diversity and inclusivity, we are not only advancing Sustainable Development Goal 5 but also contributing to Goal 10: Reducing Inequalities.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who is part of International Women's Day, standing as a beacon of progress in the world of construction. Together, let's continue to break barriers, challenge stereotypes, and build a future where equality knows no bounds.

Happy International Women's Day from RUBI Group!
