OUR HISTORY

Our story begins in 1951, when the brothers Joan and Antoni Boada i Sucarrats obtained the patent for their innovative tool for cutting hydraulic mosaic, tile and ceramics. Together they made 25 units in the garage of his house in Rubi, Catalonia. The new "RUBI, mosaic and the cutter" made its appearance at the first National Exhibition of Inventions in Barcelona, where it received the diploma of honor and the gold medal.

The Boada brothers were dedicated to developing and sharing their innovative technology with other professionals, and in 1969, with the incorporation of Miguel Escayol, the joint-stock company Germans Boada S. A.

Since then, the company's reputation has spread around the world, and the RUBI name has become synonymous with truly cutting-edge solutions that offer unprecedented quality, efficiency and professionalism to high-end craftsmen.

Thus, in the RUBI Group we specialise in the design, manufacture and distribution of machinery and tools for cutting. placing and maintaining tiles. Having the installer at the heart of our strategy means that innovation, high product quality and excellence are always present in our product range.

CORPORATE MUSEUM

Since 1951 the RUBI Team has been working for and to dignify the construction trades. Therefore, in 2003, together with the start-up of the main production center of RUBI, our corporate museum Construction tools was inaugurated, also located in Santa Oliva (Tarragona). This original space shows from the evolution of the tools of the sector, to that of RUBI's own manual cutter, in addition to making a historical tour of the more than 70 years of history of the Group. The space is open to professionals and students who, in an educational way, can see our historical collection of construction tools, including a private collection of tools from the Gaudi Foundation, the large showroom with the entire RUBI catalog and an area with the 5 phases of the tiling process. An experimentation area is also offered for students who visit us so that they can check first hand their skills in cutting and placing tiles using the mosaic technique.
